QuitCore - A Group Smoking Cessation Program
Alberta Health Services has an effective program starting the week of January 25th, 2010, to help Albertan’s quit smoking. Please forward this email to anyone you know that is thinking about quitting, including your friends, family and co-workers!
Smokers Who Want to Quit Can Find Support in QuitCore
Smokers who want to quit oftentimes need more than willpower – they need support. QuitCore, a FREE group cessation program, is led by trained professionals that give smokers the information and tools they need to quit smoking. QuitCore is now accepting participants for its next session which begins in January 2010. The registration deadline is Monday, January 25th, 2010. Space is limited.
Based on the Tom Baker Cancer Centre (TBCC) program, which helped people quit smoking for over 25 years, QuitCore launched in the fall of 2008. More than 7,000 Albertans have quit smoking through the QuitCore/TBCC model. The program, for adults 18 and older, teaches quitting support techniques such as self-hypnosis, behaviour modification, relaxation, and strategies to help with physical and mental recovery.
QuitCore is currently being offered in Airdrie, Calgary, Camrose, Claresholm, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Lethbridge, Stettler and Wetaskiwin.
When does the program take place?
The program consists of eight 90-minute sessions, over a period of 14 weeks. Sessions for the winter program will run from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the following areas:
For more information or to join an upcoming session, Albertans can call toll-free 1-866-710-QUIT (7848) or visit www.quitcore.ca.

Job: OUTSTANDING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN OPPORTUNITY!
Kenron Pharmacy in Calgary is seeking a technician to participate in our growing novel practise.

We have an extremely diverse practise which helps ensure that each work day is sufficiently different than the last. We strive to keep our staff engaged and excited about the work we do. If, however, you are interested in problem solving, compounding, and customer service then I believe I have the job for you. We are in the process of developing a state of the art compounding practise to go along with our home-care/sports medicine division and our basic prescription business. Compounding is very interesting and rewarding as it allows you to solve medication issues for patients using novel preparations. We look forward to meeting and working with you!
