The Directions for Immigrants Department assists internationally educated professionals obtain their certification in Canada.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to make a key contribution to assist internationally educated pharmacists. Working with a Career Coach, you will assist study group participants to fully understand the contents of the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) learning material used in the groups as well as provide feedback on practice tests and clarify pharmacy concepts. You will also provide feedback and support to participants in their role play scenarios. Directions for Immigrants currently offers the following pharmacy study groups held Saturdays (except no sessions on long weekends):
- Evaluating Exam, 8:30 am – 11:30 am
- Qualifying Exam part 1 (MCQ), (on-call position needed) 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
- Qualifying Exam part 2 (OSCE) (on-call position needed) 8:00 am – 11:00 am
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Canadian licensed pharmacist, or educated pharmacist who has passed the PEBC EE, MCQ and OCSE exams.
- An interest in supporting internationally educated pharmacists.
- Strong communications skills.
- An asset is experience in adult education group facilitation or instruction.
SALARY: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour (depending on experience).
CLOSING DATE: This position will remain open until one or more suitable candidates are hired. Note: We will consider two or more pharmacists sharing the position and responsibilities.
