CE: Realizing the Paradigm Shift in CV Risk Stratification

This CME program has been designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists across Canada. This interactive program will provide you with novel information related to inflammation and primary prevention to help better manage your patients at risk for a first major cardiovascular event.

Learning Objectives:
  • Evaluate the relevance of hsCRP (an inflammatory biomarker) as it relates to CV outcomes
  • Assimilate key learnings from important primary prevention research and CV outcome trials, including the most recent landmark trial, JUPITER
  • Compare and contrast risk stratification techniques used to identify “at-risk” patients
  • Apply risk assessment techniques in a relevant case study to conceptualize the benefit of specific risk stratification methodologies
  • Determine what impact risk stratification has on management and discuss management strategies that optimize patient outcomes
