We would like to introduce a program offered by the Canadian Diabetes Association called the Community Pharmacy Outreach Program. This program is designed to connect local pharmacies with the Canadian Diabetes Association and provide education, services and products to people living with diabetes. Participating pharmacies are selected using strict Association criteria, and each partner pays a small fee to cover program expenses.
Participating pharmacies receive an Association-supplied sign to hang in their storefront window, indicating their status as a member of the program. Partners are promoted through the Canadian Diabetes Association website, 1-800-BANTING (the national Association call center), community events and Association branch offices.
