We can help you join the 1 million Albertans that have quit smoking. Starting next week QuitCore is being offered in Airdrie, Calgary, Camrose, Claresholm, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Stettler, and Wetaskiwin. QuitCore is based on a program that has helped a record number of people quit and has been available in Calgary for 25 years.
QuitCore is a free group support program, led by trained professionals, that teaches you how to quit smoking and connects you with others who are also quitting. Sessions run in the evening from 7:00 to 8:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday depending on your location. When and where does the program take place?
The program consists of eight 90 minute sessions, over a period of 14 weeks. Sessions for the winter program will run from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the following areas:
- Calgary sessions start on January 27th and will be held at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre
- Sessions in Airdrie, Camrose, Claresholm, Fort McMurray, Stettler and Wetaskiwin will take place via Telehealth, starting on January 28th
- Edmonton sessions start on January 29th and will be held at Grant MacEwan College.
